Here’s to our first real time post….
Christmas 2020 is for us, like most people in the world, not quite as planned.
Those of you who follow us will know that we had planned to leave the UK in May. The plan was to head down through the Spanish Rias, anchor off small fishing villages and eat tapas. Then sail down the Atlantic coast of Portugal, stopping off for the occasional glass of port. Finally, spend some time exploring the Canary Islands, before joining the ARC+ rally. The rally would have supported us in our journey to Cape Verde and then on to St Vincent in the Caribbean. That would have meant that Christmas 2020 would have been spent cruising the islands of St Vincent and the Grenadines, swimming in crystal clear waters with tropical fish and turtles. Instead we are in sunny Ipswich.
However, we consider ourselves very lucky to be living the life we do and know that life has been very difficult for so many people all around the world.
We would like to take this opportunity to send our thoughts and best wishes to family and friends, both far and wide. We wish you all a very Merry (and safe) Christmas and hope that 2021 is a better year for all.
Happy Christmas we are loving following your travels and adventures.Looking forward to 2021 being a better year for all of us .

All the best in 2021
Greetings from Zurich Barbara
Dear Barbara,
How lovely to hear from you.
It was our pleasure to celebrate Christmas with Oliver. He talked a lot about you and your celebrations….the tree looked beautiful and it sounded fun that you managed to zoom call with your other family members. I know that he would have preferred to be home with you all.
Wishing you best wishes for 2021 and hopefully plenty of adventures in your superb new boat.
Caron and Martin
Hey you two, hope you are enjoying your Christmas bobbing around on the water. People pay fortunes for Xmas cruises. I know you are moored up in the exotic surrounds of Ipswitch but you can still dream of the Carribean. We are having a strange almost locked down kind of Christmas but at least we havn’t got the virus. All the best for a better 2021. Dave and Hilary xxx
Hi,
Great to hear from you both and pleased that you are well.
Yes Christmas 2020 has been very strange for most people. But it has also opened up other ways to spend time with family and friends. And hopefully it will make us all appreciate them more once we can meant up in person again.
Wishing you all the best for 2021 and hope to catch up with you again before we head off for sunnier climes.
Stay safe xx

Hi Caron and Martin
We hope you had a lovely Christmas and here’s to a better
New year
We have enjoyed your post even though at times sounded a bit scary
It’s been a learning curve for everyone even if the challenges have been different
Here to a fresh new start
Good luck this year for your planned adventure
Hello to all of you! Hope you are well and had a good Christmas and New Year.
We were on the boat in the marina, but still managed a full Christmas dinner. It took a little organising as we only have a small oven and limited pans, but was very tasty.
Pleased that you are enjoying the posts. We are hoping that they will be more interesting in 2021 once we set off – fingers crossed.
Wishing you all the best for 2021.
Stay safe xx
